The event cannot be held due to government regulations, who will cover the costs?

Official orders based on the Infection Protection Act prohibit the holding of an event. Please note the different regulations per federal state.

An event booking, as well as a hotel booking, belongs to the so-called "fixed transactions" due to the contractually agreed service with a fixed date. Fixed transactions are similar to perishable goods, once the agreed date is over, the agreement is worthless. If there is a ban on events in this federal state on the agreed date of the event, the facts of "impossibility" apply. The agreed service may not be provided. The hotel cannot perform and may not issue an invoice, including a cancellation invoice. The customer can not be forced that he must carry out the event at a later date.

Nevertheless, both parties may agree on a later implementation.
