Split bookings

With the split booking function, you can split large events with many participants between different hotels or service providers.

When planning large events, insufficient hotel capacity can be a challenge. This applies in particular to the number of rooms.

For this reason, the MICE portal offers the option of setting up an enquiry in such a way that a service provider can specify not only the price of a service but also the number of rooms available. We refer to this process as split booking.

Our tip: Split bookings are usually worthwhile for events with 300 people or more.

The following services can be requested as a split booking:

  • Overnight stays/breakfast.
  • Conference services.
  • Other services, e.g. dinner.

Please note: Split bookings must be activated manually in each process.

Activate split booking

  • Open your project and show the requested service providers.
  • Now click on ‘Advanced functions’.

  • Click on ‘Activate split bookings’ to activate the function.

  • Here you can select which of the desired services you would like to split and activate the settings.
  • You will now find the ‘Split bookings’ field above your service providers.
  • Under this point, you can see which part of the total number of services you have already achieved by clicking on the corresponding service provider.

  • Further actions can also be carried out on this page, such as booking service providers or deactivating the split booking again.

Our tip: If you have been offered more services than you actually need, please use the ‘Contact’ function of the MICE portal to ask a service provider to reduce the number of services in the offer.
